So, I haven't blogged in a while so I have a ton of tidbits to share. First, my baby said Mama! I know he has been saying Dada for like a month and a half, but HE SAID MAMA! He is so stinking cute, and just so much fun right now. He learns something new almost everyday. I love watching children learn.
Next, school is out, which also happened over 2 weeks ago, but I am just barely coming to terms with it. Actually, it hasn't been that bad...yet. I have tried to make some sort of plans for each day so me and the kids leave the house each day. Mondays are still open, Tuesdays we go to the library for reading time and then to the park for lunch, Wednesday we have tickets to a movie at Provo Towne Centre, Thursday we have the option of going to another movie (which totally sounds lame unless you take into account this one is free and outside it could be like 95 degrees or hotter even), Fridays we are going to try to go to Seven Peaks. So far , so good.
And, last but not least, Emma had a dance recital. She is such a little performer. I know, its hard to believe (ha, ha) but she was completely in her element on stage dancing. Oh, and she graduated from preschool, and lost a tooth. I can't take this all at once. If anyone knows how to keep their baby from growing up, let me know cuz I'm in.

What stinkin' cuties! I didn't know Pete said Mama. He is such a fun baby and I don't want him to grow up. I'm glad you have so much planned for summer, your kids love activities and being with people. Maybe you can plan a short stay up this way in all of that mess?! We'd love to play!
Yeah isn't summer fun. Lets plan a time to go to 7-Peaks this week. I'm thinking Monday, I know you said Friday, but hey why not both.
Small world. This is Kristina Bastow Olsen I grew up a few houses from you back in the old Fruit Heights hood.I saw your blog through your sisters blog and had to comment after seeing about your baby, who is now one. I feel your hardship and joys since I had the same thing happen with my two boys,my second boy only spent 8 days in the NICU, but my first little boy was 2.6 lbs and 13 1/2 inches long and spent 63 days in NICU and 5 months home on the oxygen and heart monitor. Seeing your pictures of your baby was like looking back at what it was like for us. It's nice to talk with other moms that have gone through the exact same thing. You can check out my blog at olsen4.blogspot.com... It is great to see that he is one and doing so well. An your family is so dang cute.
omg!you have such adorable kids!!!! and i agree...babies should only grop up when you want them to (although i've never had a baby of my own -- so not ready for that). and the elmo cake u have for one of them...*sniffles*...i never had that when i was a child... T_T
